Ann Arbor home to Sundance Festival

The 49th annual Ann Arbor Film Festival will be held at the Michigan Theater and State Theater from March 22 – March 27th, 2010. Originally esablished in 1963, the festival has been a leading showcase for independent and experimental filmmakers including works of Andy Warhol, George Lucas, Gus Van Sant and thousands of others filmmakers. During the festival there will be nearly 200 films screened, with entries drawn from over 40 countries and 2,600 entrants.

“The 49th Ann Arbor Film Festival takes place March 22 -27, 2011. This year’s festival will present 40 programs over six days with more than 150 new films, renowned artists in attendance from all over the world, free public screenings & events, gallery installations, midnight movies and nightly afterparties. …The full 49th AAFF program and schedule will be announced on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 with tickets on sale
