The Michigan Theater will be one of eight venues across the country to host a special night of entertainment in conjunction with the Sundance Film Festival being held in Utah in January, 2010.
On January 28th a special evening at the Michigan Theater will feature one of the Sundance filmmakers and the film that they will be premiering. It has been announced that the film will be Cyrus, written by Mark and Jay Duplass. The film stars Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Catherine Keener
The performance on the 28th will be the world premier of the film since the presentation at the full Sundance Festival will not be until three days later.
It is anticipated that one or both of the writers as well as one or more of the costars will be in Ann Arbor to premier the show. The filmmaker is expected to make a formal presentation prior to the screening.
Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster for this special event.
